The network forum BIM - Building Information Modeling met with a very positive response and attracted around 200 participants from Germany, Austria and Italy to Munich. Well-known actors from architecture / planning, construction industry / trade and general contractors / property developers as well as public institutions such as municipalities and authorities as well as research professionals used the forum to exchange information about the latest developments and challenges around BIM and to establish interdisciplinary contacts for upcoming projects. The forum impressed in particular by the high-level lectures and a lively participation of the audience in discussions and the expert question and answer session. HOSPITAL BUILD Dubai is the regional hub for health-facility planning, design, construction and management. Across five main themes, the event provides a platform on which to discuss new healthcare projects, share best practice in design and construction, and source technologies and services. German Haimerl was invited to give a presentation on trends and developments in modern hospital construction. Approximately two hundred listeners from different countries followed attentively. The subsequent discussion showed how much the participants were interested in the latest developments and how different the level of development in the various countries of origin still is.
